Overview

This SOP provides steps to fix Bluetooth connection or pairing issues with Husqvarna Automower® robotic lawn mowers.

Purpose

To resolve Bluetooth connectivity problems between Automower® mowers and mobile devices or the Automower® Connect app.

Scope

  • Applicable To: Field Service Team, Customer Support, End Users
  • Equipment: All Automower® models with Bluetooth connectivity
  • Issue: Bluetooth pairing or connection failures

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Verify Bluetooth is Enabled

    • Check Bluetooth is turned on in mobile device settings
    • Verify Bluetooth is enabled in Automower® Connect app
    • Ensure device is not in airplane mode
    • Check Bluetooth permissions for the app
  2. Check Distance and Range

    • Move mobile device within Bluetooth range (typically 10 meters)
    • Reduce distance between device and mower
    • Remove physical obstructions
    • Test connection at different distances
  3. Remove and Re-pair

    • Remove mower from Automower® Connect app
    • Forget Bluetooth device in mobile device settings
    • Restart Bluetooth on mobile device
    • Start pairing process from beginning
  4. Check Mower Status

    • Verify mower is powered on
    • Check mower is ready for pairing
    • Ensure mower is not in error state
    • Verify mower Bluetooth is active
  5. Check for Interference

    • Move away from other Bluetooth devices
    • Avoid areas with strong radio interference
    • Turn off other Bluetooth devices temporarily
    • Test in different location
  6. Restart Devices

    • Restart the mower
    • Restart mobile device
    • Wait for both to fully restart
    • Retry Bluetooth pairing
  7. Update App and Firmware

    • Update Automower® Connect app to latest version
    • Check if mower firmware needs updating
    • Update firmware if available
    • Retry pairing after updates
  8. Check Device Compatibility

    • Verify mobile device supports required Bluetooth version
    • Check device compatibility with Automower® Connect app
    • Test with different mobile device if available
  9. Contact Support

    • If issues persist, contact Husqvarna dealer tech support
    • Document error messages and steps taken
    • Note mower model, app version, and device type

Common Bluetooth Issues

  • Out of Range: Device too far from mower
  • Interference: Other Bluetooth or radio devices causing interference
  • Pairing Failed: Incorrect pairing process or device not ready
  • Connection Drops: Signal interrupted or device moved out of range
  • App Issues: App needs update or restart
