Overview

This SOP addresses pairing issues between Automower® robotic lawn mowers and the Automower® Connect app during EPOS™ installation.

Purpose

To resolve pairing and connectivity problems when setting up EPOS™ installations with the Automower® Connect app.

Scope

  • Applicable To: Field Installation Team
  • Equipment: Automower® models with EPOS™ Technology and Automower® Connect
  • Installation Phase: EPOS™ setup and app pairing

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check App and Mower Compatibility

    • Verify app version is up to date
    • Check mower model supports Automower® Connect
    • Ensure mower has EPOS™ Technology enabled
    • Verify compatibility between app and mower firmware
  2. Verify Connectivity Method

    • Check if using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or mobile connection
    • For initial pairing, Bluetooth is typically required
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on mobile device
    • Check mobile device is within Bluetooth range
  3. Reset Pairing Process

    • Close and restart the Automower® Connect app
    • Clear app cache if available
    • Remove mower from app if previously added
    • Start pairing process from beginning
  4. Check Mower Status

    • Verify mower is powered on
    • Check mower is not in error state
    • Ensure mower is ready for pairing
    • Verify EPOS™ system is properly initialized
  5. Verify Network Connection (for Wi-Fi/Mobile)

    • Check Wi-Fi network is available and working
    • Verify mobile network coverage if using mobile
    • Test network connection on mobile device
    • Ensure network credentials are correct
  6. Check for Interference

    • Move mobile device closer to mower
    • Reduce interference from other devices
    • Try pairing in different location
    • Avoid pairing near strong radio sources
  7. Update Firmware

    • Check if mower firmware needs updating
    • Update mower firmware if available
    • Update app to latest version
    • Retry pairing after updates
  8. Contact Support

    • If pairing still fails, contact Husqvarna dealer tech support
    • Document error messages and steps taken
    • Note mower model, app version, and device type
